1. Seek immediate medical assistance

2. File a report
Regardless of the severity of any accident or incident, let your supervisor or employer know as soon as possible that you have suffered an injury. Complete an incident report form if one is available or if necessary produce your own report for your employer.
3. Take a photograph if possible
Photographs can sometimes be hugely beneficial should it be necessary for you to make a claim. Taking photographs is easier than ever nowadays with smartphones.
4. Seek expert advice as soon as possible
Time-limits do apply and delays can be fatal for any claim.
